All classes are taught by means of lecture, visual aids, videos, practical skills, written materials and ample hands on time for students. We encourage students to ask questions or ask for more hands on time when needed.
You will receive class materials that you will keep for further reference or study.
Students can expect frank discussions about a variety of issues. Our instructors are very good at weaving their personal experiences in the field into the classroom environment.
There is a test at the end of every class that you will need to pass in order to be certified. The test is given to the group as a whole and the instructor will make sure you understand the information as you move along.
There is plenty of time for breaks during the class and our instructors do their best to be considerate of your time.
CPR classes are designed to accommadate 1 student to 1 manikin, or at the most 2 students per manikin (not the usual 4-6 students per manikin) This gives each student more hands-on time per class.
It is important that all students fully participate in class skills. We do lots of work on the floor during class. It is important that female students dress modestly and comfortably so they are not hindered in any way for the practical portion of the class.
ASK questions! There are no "stupid" questions.
Please do not bring children to class.
Each student will receive a certification card at the end of the training. There is no waiting for the mail! We assume you need the card when you have finished your class and we gladly accommodate you.
