Instructors

Brian Kidwell - Owner and Lead Instructor

Brian has a passion for saving lives and teaching others. He currently works for San Diego City Fire Department as a firefighter/paramedic, where he has been employed for the last 20 years. With a total of 27 years in the fire service, Brian has been a paramedic for 18 of those years at some of the busiest fire stations in San Diego.

Other Qualifications:

Training Instructor & Battalion Medical Officer for San Diego Fire

Brian has been a CPR/First Aid instructor for 32 years. He has been an American Heart instructor for 18 of those years and an American Heart ACLS instructor for 6 years.

He has been a Wilderness EMT for 18 years and is retired from SAR (Search & Rescue) with the Sheriff's Department after 12 years of service.

Cert Instructor and Operations Manager

Brian's most recent service was with USAR (Urban Search & Rescue) where he served for 10 years as a medical specialist. He feels honored to have been deployed to:

Northridge Earthquake in 1994

Atlanta Olympics in 1996

World Trade Center 2001

As the lead instructor, Brian's wide variety of knowledge and experience obviously enhances his teaching methods and enriches the training you will receive with Life Support Unlimited.
